কেমন হওয়া উচিত আমাদের শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থা?

আমেরিকান বিখ্যাত উপন্যাসিক গেইল গুডউইনের বলেছিলেন, উত্তম শিক্ষাদান পদ্ধতি হলো- “এক চতুর্থাংশ প্রস্তুতি , তিন চতুর্থাংশ উপস্থাপনা”। আমেরিকার বিখ্যাত দার্শনিক ও শিক্ষা সংস্কারক জন ডিউয়ির মতে, “আমরা যদি আজকের শিশুদের গতকালের মতো করে পড়াই তাহলে আমরা তাদের আগামীকাল ছিনিয়ে নিলাম”। কিন্তু বাস্তবতা হলো বিশ্বের অধিকাংশ রাষ্ট্রেই (বাংলাদেশ সহ) শিক্ষার ক্ষেত্রে এই দর্শনগুলো অনুপস্থিত। এমনকি খোদ আমেরিকাতেও এর বাস্তব প্রয়োগ দেখা যায় না। গেইল গুডউইন এবং জন ডিউয়ি বোঝাতে চেয়েছেন শিক্ষার্থীদের শেখাতে গেলে শিক্ষকদের নিত্য নতুন পদ্ধতির চর্চা করতে হবে। এবং তা শিক্ষার্থীদের উপস্থাপন করার আগে নিজে ভালো করে রিহার্সল করে নিতে হবে। আর এগুলো না করলে আমাদের শিক্ষার্থীরা পিছিয়ে পড়ে যাবে, পড়ার আগ্রহ হারাবে। দুঃখজনক হলেও সত্য যে আমাদের দেশে পরিমাণকে গুণমানের চেয়ে গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়। কতজন শিক্ষার্থী পরীক্ষা দিয়ে পাস করলো কিংবা জিপিএ ফাইভ পেলো এটাকে সফলতা বলে ধরে নেওয়া হয়। অথচ গুরুত্বের জায়গাটা হওয়া দরকার ছিল শিক্ষার্থীরা কতটা শিখতে পারছে তার উপর। এতে লাভটা হতো শেষে বা আসল জায়গায় এসে। প্রাথম

ব্যস্ততার এ জীবনে অবসর যেন এক অন্য গ্রহের শব্দ। কিন্তু তা সত্ত্বেও আমরা সপ্তাহে অন্তত একবার এ শব্দটির মুখোমুখি হই। কিন্তু কর্মের মানুষ সময়টাকে কিভাবে অকর্মে কাটাবে তা একটা ধাঁধার বিষয়। অনেকের ক্ষেত্রেই দেখা যায়, অবসর সময়টা খুব বাজেভাবে কাটে। তাদের মনে হয় এরচেয়ে বরং অফিস বা ক্লাস থাকলেই ভালো হতো। এক্ষেত্রে একটা প্রশ্ন সবসময় চলে আসে, “কিভাবে কাটাবো অবসর সময়?” অবসর সময়টা ভালোভাবে কাটানোর দারুণ কিছু টিপস নিয়ে আমাদের আজকের আয়োজন। ঘুমের সাথে আড়ি অনেকে ছুটির দিনে শুধু ঘুমিয়েই কাটান । এখনকার জেনারেশন এটাকে বলে ‘কোপাইয়া ঘুমানো’। এ কাজটা কখনও করবেন না। ধরলাম, সারাটা সপ্তাহ আপনার উপর ধকল গেছে। কিন্তু তাই বলে সারাটি দিন শুধু ঘুমিয়ে কাটবেন? সারাটা দিন না ঘুমিয়ে, অন্য দিনের চেয়ে ঘণ্টা খানেক একটু বেশি ঘুমাতে পারেন সর্বোচ্চ। এতে পরের কর্ম দিবসেও অভ্যাসের কোন পরিবর্তন হবেনা। ঘরকুনো হতে মানা “সারা সপ্তাহ বাইরেই তো কাটাই, একটা দিনও কি বাসায় থাকবো না? পরিবারকে সময় দেবো না?” চিন্তা করে দেখুন, সারাটা সপ্তাহ আপনার এক স্থানেই কাটানো হয়। সেটা হোক অফিস কিংবা ক্যাম্পাস । এ দিনটাতে অন্য কোথাও
